Project Description:
This full kitchen renovation was a complete gut project. The entire space was renovated including flooring, cabinets, lighting and appliances. The original kitchen was typical builder’s grade quality with poor functionality and no character. From cold terracotta tile floors to golden oak cabinets and granite countertops, it all had to go!
Project Price: $90,000 – $125,000
Design Details:
- Installed rich, brown oak flooring to create a warm base that the rest of the kitchen design built upon.
- Designed a gently curved walnut island with walnut burl veneer panels and a raised and curved eating counter. The island also contains the cooktop and an arched, glass and stainless steel range hood. It is the center of attention both visually and workwise.
- Replaced golden oak cabinets with creamy white cabinets that are accented by upper door panels made of 3-form onyx and backlit with in-cabinet LED lighting.
- Installed backsplash using blue/green glass tiles that are highlighted by the under-cabinet LED lighting. The backsplash is kept free of switches and outlets by mounting the electrical devices in a low profile, under-cabinet wiring fixture.
